The Volkswagen ID.7 will be available with a massive 86kWh battery, providing a stunning range of 435 miles. Most purchasers, though, are likely to be satisfied with the standard 77kWh battery pack used in other electric VWs, which provides a range of roughly 382 miles.
Initially, all Volkswagen ID.7 models will be powered by a single electric motor that drives the back wheels. A sporty Volkswagen ID.7 GTX is expected to follow, maybe with an additional engine giving four-wheel drive.
Volkswagen has not offered anticipated charging times for the new ID.7, but it will be capable of 200kW rapid charging, allowing for quick top-ups (assuming you can find a powerful enough charger).
More technical information on the new Volkswagen ID.7 will be released closer to the vehicle’s release date.
